This
2006 Harley-Davidson Road Glide was customized
for Tommy Roberts of Columbus, OH. As you
can see, Tommy is a big fan of the color silver.
His love for silver poured out onto all of the
normal body panels, but also included the inner
fairing pieces, switch housings, saddlebag
latches, and rear filler panels. Subtle
hand lettering on the tank still identifies this
bike as a true H-D. The silver even
stretches down the front end with powder coating
on the lowers and fork leg covers. The
rear was upgraded with an FBI tour pak, Klock
Werks "Curvaceous" upper fillers, "Curvaceous"
lower panels, and a smooth license plate mount
that includes built-in turn signals.
Rinehart pipes upgraded the sound and performace
of the exhaust. Performance Machine Gatlin
wheels add some bling to the bike, including a
21" upgrade in the front covered by a rivetless
front fender. The PM wheels were given new
Metzeler ME880 shoes to improve traction and
handling and the rear belt pulley was chromed to
match. The Corbin seat helps both rider
and passenger ride in comfort. Beach bars
allow Tommy to spread his arms, and chrome hand
levers ,PM grips, braided cables, and internal
wiring complete the hand control upgrades.
The feet also ride in comfort and style with PM
floorboards and shifter pegs. The final
streamline touch was the Klock Werks fairing
support bar that eliminates the highway bars
found on most baggers. The end result?
One slick, smooth, silver bagger. |
